I hear and I forget…. I see and I remember …. I do and I Understand….
Few projects are simple, straightforward and well organized. Added to this is fuzzy direction, people that depend on each other's work, deadlines, a customer, some vendors, some unexpected circumstances, budget constraints, and several projects going on simultaneously, and things begin to complicate rapidly.

This workshop on Project Leadership simulates a real project and is based on experiential learning design, That is, the design was made to facilitate learning from the experience of planning and implementing a project with a team of others. There are some things that are very similar to real-life projects and others that are very different. In experiential learning, participants go through an experience and then reflect on the experience to draw learnings by analogy to real situations and then draw generalizations from the experience to apply back on the job with real projects. Learnings include the importance of project planning steps, actions to help a project team be more productive, and actions to determine project status and to keep a project on track toward its goals.
Workshop Objectives
Build the planning process to provide a management "road map" which will help minimize project risk, communicate plans, and visualize progress.
  • Apply the tools and methods for organizing projects, i.e. bar charts, critical path analysis, networks, estimating, slack analysis, etc. to develop accurate plans.

  • Work as a member/leader of project team that makes high-quality plans and decisions collaboratively.

  • Develop the interpersonal awareness and skills to lead others performance and decisions.

  • Track progress and control variances against the plans, to ensure that timely, necessary action is taken to achieve project objectives.

  • Compile critical project management information and use the data efficiently to make decisions.

Workshop participants actively learn to achieve high performance and increase their value to the organization.
